Going through the first crate of albums this morning, I pulled out the some Jimmy Cliff, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, the Stones, the Band, Big Brother and Holding Company, Beethoven, Fleetwood Mac, Paul Butterfield Blues band...and that's just a handful of the STANDOUTs from the first like 10% of the first of five crates of records.
Suffice to say, I am going to be having a shit ton of fun listening to a crap ton of music, about 99% of which I haven't even looked through yet (thus have no idea what other gems I'll pull out of there). I predict the next few weeks will be full of really excellent music.
And wtf, these vinyls are all still in flawless condition, whereas my CD collection from high school and college contain probably a majority of disks that are unlistenable they are so damaged. Fuck CDs.
Oh...and right now atm, I have on "Rock of Ages," a two album live show by the Band in concert in the early 70's.
I win.
