Isn't it basically like getting paid to watch Diagnosis Murder?
    What's not to like?!

Or it could end up like getting paid to watch Diagnosis Man Flashed his Weiner at high school girls.

Just doesn't sound all that thrilling.

That sounds more interesting than the case I was a juror for a few years ago. It was some hood vs State Farm insurance. They wouldn't pay out on a claim because it was the second car in as many years he had that was "stolen", looted and set on fire.

Been in the airport since 9AM. Watched two flights go to my destination and I am still 10+ deep on standby for the third flight.

Try being standby for a once-a-day flight from JFK to South Africa. Been there, done that - slept in an airport for two days.

When I was at West Point, I got my first leave and was heading home from La Guardia (sp?). My flight kept getting delayed and never cancelled. Eventually at 1AM they cancelled it so I rebooled for 5AM. Got to sleep in LG in my Cadet Full Dress and it was great. Full of adventures. I ended up writing a narrative about the experience and got it published in some two bit magazine.

He said it made no sense and he sent biopsies to a pathologist and should know more in a week or two. Could have been something cancerous, or an inflammatory response, who knows. I seriously just don't understand how she could have gone from zero breathing issues and relatively healthy (aside from calicivirus and the associated teeth/gum issues) to this, from a dental. I guess I'll find out in a couple weeks. For now, I think I'll get drunk.
So I spoke to the vet today who had the results. It turns out she had a chronic inflammatory response caused by a virus. He said it was basically like walking pneumonia and she had had it a long time. He said because her immune system was already compromised with the calicivirus, an opportunistic bacteria probably got in and caused this. He said that because it was a chronic problem and not a new infection, that's why none of the blood work showed a problem. Apparently her body has been fighting this for a long time and she was able to keep it controlled until the trauma from the surgery/anesthesia... why she never showed a single symptom is beyond me. The doctor said it was not something we could have predicted so I should stop blaming myself, and that it could have possibly caused her demise eventually anyway but there is no way to tell for sure.
