The no-dachi's single-edged blade takes on a subtle curve half way to its tapered point. Exquisite forging has bestowed the mithril with a bleak charcoal blue tone and a roiling temper line. Scintillating gilt inclusions lick the cutting edge, giving an impression of embers pitched through smoke. Acutely angled, daggerlike parrying hooks provide strong visual constrast to the weapon's elaborate sigmoid crossguard.
