When you say our government makes things difficult for businesses or people what do you mean exactly? Are you were talking about regulations like not being able to dump poison into our drinking water and things like that?

Do you ever get tired of regurgitating what the media tells you to repeat?

Just off the top of my head:

Banning or limiting fracking
Shutting down pipelines such as Keystone XL
Limiting the number of oil leases
2000 hours to become a hair stylist
Requiring gun owners to carry insurance

You may not give a s*** about all the people losing their jobs but I do.

You're a good person Back. Now actually answer my fucking questions this time. Do we pay someone to sit at a desk and play on their phone all day just because they have a family to feed? Do we do away with computers and go back to the 1950's way of doing things so the government has to hire tens of thousands of more employees? Any sane person would say "NO!" I'm just trying to get a feel for how insane you are. It's easy to just say "Sure! Give everyone money!" when it is someone else's money you're talking about.

If there is some financial disaster it's not the working class' fault.

Hey I'm all for figuring out a better plan as long as we all agree on it.

The only issue I see with that idea is if the people who choose to invest in the stock market lose the retirement because their investments don't do well we really can't leave them hanging, you know? So if we're bailing them out that's unfair to the people who didn't lose everything in their investment. So any solution would have to be an across the board solution for all participants.

That should be a risk people are free to take. And if others would rather depend on the government like you, then you and those people can do that instead.

My money my choice. Why should I be forced to trust the government with my finances?

That's not what I'm saying, I have no idea what these people are doing.

I'm trying to get you to admit there is a point where someone should lose their job, regardless of the fact they might have a family they need to support. But you won't do that because you would lose your "good guy" points by admitting that at some point we have to fire people from their jobs, and we would then need to have a discussion that isn't based on feelings or trying to make the other person feel bad, but rather a discussion about where the line is for when a person needs to be fired, and maybe Elon Musk or Donald Trump have found that line.

If the market tanks your 401k tanks. That's a bad bet. The creation of the 401K let companies drop the whole pension idea screwing over the working class in favor of the corporations/owners not to mention filling the market with employee cash. It's one of the biggest swindles in history.

We pay taxes to the government and pay social security and Medicare our entire working lives. Why shouldn't we get one decent livable retirement from it?

That was why social security was created, as a safety net. It is like you can't even comprehend anything.

And again, your personal savings/assets. You can invest in whatever the hell you want and call it a retirement plan. They have tax deferred IRAs too. You don't have to do things your employer or the Government spoon feeds you. Of course, you're basically a fucking lemming so you wouldn't understand that.
