"The military has a serious recruiting problem — Congress must fix it"
They think it's money... it's not... it's 30+ years of them teaching kids that the US is evil and racist, besmirching the Constitution, and demeaning what it means to serve... and finally the generation that the education system (ran by 90%+ Leftists/Democrats) is spitting out, has a disdain for the country in which they live.
Does this mean all? No.
Are there still really good, capable people coming up? Yes.
Are those good, capable people called racists and bigots (without evidence) by their civilian leaders? Yes.
But as a whole, the zeitgeist, it's permeated US society in the younger generation. Hell, you can't even say "America First!" without getting labeled some evil name by the Twitter mob. Think kids having come up in that generation want to join up??
Now it's permeated the Officer Corp and the Military Schools...

"US Army teaching Critical Race Theory to West Point cadets: report"
CRT literally goes against everything I was taught in the Service... about respect for all, treat everyone the same, do not discriminate on any factor... and if someone does, put the boot to them. CRT teaches people to divide themselves based on their differences, not unite around their similarities.
Economy is doing great - Check.
Society is more harmonious - Check.
Military is strong and ready to defend - Check.
Foreign relations are doing fantastic - Check.
Yup.. you Dem's really are doing a bang up job.
Edit: Maybe Buttigieg can threaten to fine them... ROFL

The door was unlocked, the incident commander in Uvalde Texas held back officers while they stood there for almost an hour listening to the teenaged gunman systematically murder children and teachers. The police listed to the cries and screams of wounded, because their police chief was a coward and put his political ambitions ahead of protecting a community.Abject Failure
The head of the Texas state police pronounced the law enforcement response to the Uvalde school shooting an “abject failure,” telling lawmakers that there were enough officers and firepower on the scene to have stopped the gunman three minutes after he entered the building.
Col. Steve McCraw also said officers would have found the door to the classroom where the assailant was holed up unlocked if they had bothered to check it.
Instead, police with rifles stood in a hallway for over an hour, waiting in part for more weapons and gear, before they finally stormed the classroom and killed the gunman, putting an end to the May 24 attack that left 19 children and two teachers dead.
It's a sad day that the rest of the nation gets to realize Texas is filled with a bunch of toting pussies.
