This is incorrect, the Uvalde shooter purchased the first gun May 17, a day after his birthday and the second May 20. The shooting happened on May 24. A ten day waiting period that is in place in several states, would have prevented this instance from happening on May 24, 2022.

In 2018 it was 0.89.

And I gave you at least two examples where someone was present and interceded or attempted to, I didn't go through the whole list after the first 3 all had armed people on site and still a ton of people got hurt.

Maybe it would happen a week later, if all the circumstances such as having an unlocked door, having a bunch of cowardly cops on duty and assuming the "cooling off" period which is the point of waiting periods didn't change his mind. Point is, if Texas had gun control it wouldn't have happened that day.

School resource officer, is this an actually trained person? Because if so, they need better training and likely a partner so they'd feel more secure tackling a lone gunman. And more people with guns, clearly means more guns.

A school resource officer is a cop from the local police or sheriff department.
