i really don't agree with anything Seran is saying since i don't think a waiting period would have done anything in this case unless they do a full scan into the person's life security clearance style to check them out, but, what point do you think you're trying to make here?

This is incorrect, the Uvalde shooter purchased the first gun May 17, a day after his birthday and the second May 20. The shooting happened on May 24. A ten day waiting period that is in place in several states, would have prevented this instance from happening on May 24, 2022.

Look at their murder and suicide rate. It dropped momentarily, then rose back in step at the same rates at before. Just now, they are at the mercy of their totalitarian government to lock them in their homes and lose their right to protest and so on. The only winners there are the government who wanted totalitarian control.

In 2019, the annual gun death rate was 229.

In fact there were two armed law enforcement agents present at Columbine High School during the assault by Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold that left 15 dead and many more wounded. They twice engaged and fired at Eric Harris in an effort to stop the shooting, but were unsuccessful because they were outgunned by the assault weapons wielded by the two teens.

20+ million semi-auto weapons in the US. and you're going to offer people $50 for firearms that cost thousands?

Good luck with that. How many people are you willing to imprison or kill for not turning in their guns?

If just 1% of those people refuse to hand over their firearms, that's 810,000 people. That's 200,000 more people than there are police officers in the US.
