Except that it was an attempted coup. Or, rather, the latest step in one.
Trump going on a massive PR campaign to destabilize public faith in our elections because he lost was part of a coup. Trump calling up State Legislatures and asking them to ignore their voters and appoint state electors who were loyal to Trump was part of a coup. Trump supporting cases that asked our Judiciary to literally invalidate MILLIIONS of votes so he could win was part of a coup. Trump calling up the Secretary of State in Georgia after the vote had been certified (audited AND hand counted) and telling him to "find" the exact number of votes he would have needed to have won was part of a coup. Trump loyalists in Congress repeating false election fraud conspiracy theories and then trying to overturn the electors with no actual evidence, so Trump could win was part of a coup. Trump publicly pressuring Mike Pence to invalidate the electoral votes in the states he didn't win to keep him in power was part of a coup. (also showed no understanding of the Constitution)
And yes, gathering 30,000 people to the Capitol for a rally timed to end right before the final electoral college vote was certified by Congress, telling them they needed to "be strong"; "never give up"; "take their country back", and go through "trial by combat" (that was Giuliani but was said at his rally) knowing full well there were armed militia groups in attendance, and pointing them to the United States Capitol to disrupt the count...was part of a coup.
And telling them that he loved them, and they were special, and refusing to activate the National Guard for the first hour or two...was part of a coup.
And it's just so sad to watch otherwise reasonable people look at a sitting US President engaging in the most seditious act they could possibly engage in, and saying "Oh that wasn't a coup".

Dude. Understand the scene. Behind that officer that fired is the vice president and the vice president elect. They've baracaded the doors with every piece of furniture they could find, and they're still bashing windows and trying to get in
The same mob that was screaming "Hang pence", and in your twisted world view this was an innocent person shot.
Again. You only think there are two political sides. I called out the retarded riots over the summer too. This is largely the same.
Anonymous is an Idea - not a group.
You have to imagine what was going on in the heads of everyone inside. They probably had limited information about how many people were outside trying to get in. How would any of us feel trapped in a building with a raging mob busting in the windows and doors? How would anyone feel hearing and seeing this raging mob getting past the heavily armed security of that building? They had no way of knowing if it was just a couple of knuckleheads with a flag or a massive force of heavily armed men.
