Those situations are from unregulated capitalism and racism established throughout the history of the United States. Its the story of our country that no one wants to openly talk about.
Read Coates article "The Case for Reparations". It explains exactly how the red lining in Chicago happened.

Untangling that deeply rooted mess requires some serious changes. Changes that people have been opposed to and continue to be opposed to for decades. Changes that people have been trying to make for decades.Locked out of the greatest mass-based opportunity for wealth accumulation in American history, African Americans who desired and were able to afford home ownership found themselves consigned to central-city communities where their investments were affected by the “self-fulfilling prophecies” of the FHA appraisers: cut off from sources of new investment[,] their homes and communities deteriorated and lost value in comparison to those homes and communities that FHA appraisers deemed desirable.
You want to blame democrats for failure while fighting to make them fail.
You're hopeless. Even when Democraps have power in these cities for decades and fail because of unsound policies, somehow it's the conservative's fault. And you wonder why we call you retarded; well, let me clue you in because I know you can't figure it out: it's because you're retarded.

You act as if democrats had total control over these places. Are you forgetting how our government works? No one party has all the power. You are quick to blame and never take the responsibility.
Do I think that conservatives/republicans hold us back? Yes. Its why they are called conservatives. They want things to stay the same or be like the good old days. Well the good old days sucked.
Both parties are to blame for not being able to fix issues that are deeply rooted in our history. Its not from lack of trying to change things.
Its great that you think democrats could wipe away generations of institutional racism in every aspect of society and business with a snap of their fingers. Democrats aren't the only party in this country though. This kind of deep institutionalized racist policy needs major changes that both parties need to be on board with. And remember that there are people out there who are against changing these policies. Crazy, right?
If you hadn't noticed, or ignored it, every major city in this country has this issue to some degree or another.
I usually tell people who talk to me the way you are in that last post to go fuck themselves just on principal. You aren't trying to debate or find solutions. But I feel generous today. You're welcome.
