57MT I believe though capable of 100MT. The largest nuke ever tested by the US was Castle Bravo which was 15 megatons. There was some kind of technical screw up with that one because it was only supposed to be around 6MT.
If I remember correctly, the Russians found this was too large, the majority of the blasts energy was ejected out of the atmosphere.

Considering it was still enough to obliterate everything in a 15 mile radius I don't think that is too much of a problem.
The thing that I find unnerving is the current level of nuclear brinkmanship by Putin. Threatening Denmark with nuclear strikes against their navy, buzzing NATO countries with nuclear bombers, proposing to place tactical nuclear weapons in the Crimea, and now recently launching multiple high level cruise missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads. He's playing a dangerous game.
According to Einstein we'll be using them again eventually.
I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.
