So wait, is it just a family history book? Or is it an actual spellbook? Both fall under the category of being an actual grimoire. They're just used in different ways. Were you told at all?

Frightening. Maybe someone in your family is a bit bonkers. Like beyond the normal family bonkers. I wonder what's in it. Now I'm all curious!!

Maybe there's potion recipes in there.

Or some rustic Viagra spell made from cactus needles. LOL.
My aunt told my mom it was "full of recipes". Now that'd be fine and cool but there's no reason to hide it if it's just 'recipes'.

From what I gather from my mom, it's a fucking spellbook. You don't just hide a book allegedly filled with 'recipes' from the rest of the family. If it were a family history book, same logic, y'know?

I dunno. My aunts fought over a hand-me-down cookbook.

To the point where they wouldn't let anyone else even read it? See its cover? Apart from my mom and aunt, I am the only other person in the family that knows of its existence now.

Yeah uhh... that's kind of a thing. My mom did that with a now-about-100-year-old cookbook belonging to my great great grandmother. She won over her two sisters. Donno.

Yeah. When my grandma died she had a cookbook with recipes from both my great grandmothers from the old country. One of my aunts snuck in after the funeral and walked off with it before they could all sit down and figure out who got what. It's a pretty common thing.

I don't know. I just can't see something as simple as a recipe book being tucked away. The women in my family regularly shared recipes so it's even harder to see them hiding a book full of them.

You are ignorant of the seedy underbelly of recipes.

Seriously. I meant that as a joke, and yet it's totally true. My family does it too. LOL.

I guess but holy crap, that'd be petty beyond petty man.
