I certainly won't throw myself in front of something as up front as a fist to their face.

And I might even cheer you on.

Sure they deserve something. Not for their food to be fucked with. Something that can lead to the entire restaurant being investigated and potentially fucking over the employment of every single other person there. I'll call it selfish and childish also.

What the hell do you think people are doing to food?

TLDR version: There's zero excuse to be rude to people who prepare your food. There's zero excuse to screw with someone's food in retaliation. People who do so are weak minded losers.

First, all restaurant are disgusting. Some kind of try, most really don't. The staff all have bodily functions, they fart, they wipe their brows, scratch their noses, sneeze, cough, pick the sleep out of their eyes. The cleaning consists of what they have time for. Miss cleaning some little crevice somewhere, it's swarming with maggots a few days later. Use too much sanitizer, because you'd rather get the health code violation for too much sanitizer, than for cockroaches. Mm, delicious sanitizer! Don't use enough sanitizer because it's freaking expensive and you're just trying to stay in business. Clean the grease off the range hood? Screw that, they don't pay me enough to get up there and deal with that mess. Even in this thread, I've learned a new one, they smoke your food in wood that sits in filthy water. Not too surprising, it's not like I expected them to wash each piece of wood that comes from the woods.

We know all this, and we still choose to go to restaurants. It's an imperfect world, the human body filters out, or passes through a lot of gross stuff. Staff spitting in food is only one of the dangers from restaurant food. Sure, on a visceral level it impacts us if we know about it.

When I have a complaint with a restaurant then I simply don't return. If I'm honoring, yes honoring them with a complaint, it's because I'd like to return, and I think their restaurant is worth saving. I do so politely.

There's a wood fired pizza place that opened recently. They had a cook and one bartender, who was also waiting tables. The bartender was losing his mind, breaking bottles and not laughing along when the bar patrons razzed him about it. He got our order wrong, we got a calzone instead of a pizza, which we all know is inferior in every way. I just confirmed that the calzone wasn't some other customer's who was waiting for it, then I ate it. It was alright. I even tipped the guy well because he was obviously working hard. There was no need to complain, they obviously knew they were short staffed. The cook apologized for getting the order wrong, and confirmed that someone didn't show up for their shift.

I wish I was half as diabolical as people give me credit(/blame) for.
You know good and well that a person will not, and in 99% of times, should not, approach someone to tell them off for being rude/insulting/unacceptably prickish. That will...
    a) Get you fired.
    b) Get you assaulted.
    c) Get you shot.
    d) Although this is low in occurrence, I am sure, a guy at a steakhouse did this. A line cook or something. Here in Sacramento. He walked out and told off a guy. In front of his family. The guy took his family home, came back, waited for the guy, and beat him with a baseball bat so badly he ended up in the hospital with brain damage. Now, this was a few years ago, but I'm sure this sort of thing happens rarely.
    e) Fuck with your livelihood and you supporting yourself/your family.

For what? Personal pride? Again, stop trying to bait a trap. Vandalizing food because of a rude customer is one thing. What you're proposing is another. People choose the 'cowardly' way, as you put it, to get their tiny piece of justice.

Although, quite honestly, I'd laugh my tail off if you came out from the back and straight up unleashed your cock and pissed in somebody's drink. Right before you were fired, assaulted, and arrested.
You keep using the word "vandalism", but it does not mean what you think it means. If you want to sculpt someone's rice pilaf into a phallus, I won't criticize you. If you want to draw a frowny face on their hamburger with ketchup, go right ahead. If you willfully contaminate their food with infectious agents, you're a criminal. There are plenty of people in the world with harder and less respected jobs than kitchen staff, and there are plenty of people who suffer far worse abuse in all spheres of their life. They manage to not intentionally harm others. Grow up.

Waking up to snow... 4" of it (and 4 more on the way) after a week of 50-60 degree weather.

    Spring Break indeed...
    You slap Walkar's cheek, hard.
He continues, "I've decided that I'm not going to let you serve community service, so don't get your hopes up. To this aim, you may either pay the fine of 50000000 silvers plus any other outstanding debts you may owe, or serve a total of 120 minutes of incarceration. You may ANSWER me either FINE or INCARCERATION as your choice. But I digress. Choose quickly, now, lest I hold you in contempt of court for wasting my time."

So, looking at your avatar creeps me out. I'm just visualizing the spherical qualities of those eyes, and figuring they'd scale up to softball sized at a minimum, then squished inside of a skull.

A switch was flipped where I live during spring break and the highs are now in the 90's.
