It's a small thing, but when I came home late this evening, the flag on my mailbox was up. Strange as I had gotton the mail hours before, and we almost never put outgoing mail in our mailbox due to mail thieves that occassionally visit our neighborhood.
Inside the mailbox were three empty beer bottles jammed in really well. I had to actually break one of the bottles to get them out without ruining the mailbox. Grumble.
People suck. Since I've lived in this house I've had someone run over our mailbox and another time someone smashed it with a bat or something.
If the mailbox is destroyed again I'm going to buy a new mailbox where I can hollow out the base/stand part of it and fill it with cement. See what happens next time someone tries to swing a bat at it or run it over.

Hahaha, I fully endorse this idea.
We live in a pretty interesting neighborhood, save for the methheads right next door. If you've ever watched Cops, you'll know that's endless entertainment right there.
