They get to vote in a primary. You get to vote in none. Standing on principle can be commendable, but that's not what this is. Democrat is literally defined as those people who are registered with the party. You don't get a lobotomy, you don't get sent to a re-education camp, you aren't compelled to support them in any way. It costs you nothing and doubles the impact of your vote.

Perhaps this will be my new quintessential example for rationalism vs. empiricism. It is inconceivable to me why you are crippling your voice this way.

Whichever one I pick, there will still be a primary I can't vote in. Unless you're saying any net gain is good, regardless...which would be a fair point.
