Actually, they allow industrializing nations to put out more emissions under the Kyoto. The already industrialized are held to stricter standards. That is one of the reasons the US refused to ratify.

We think of decades as being a long time but if it take mother nature 1000 years to fix something it's a drop in the bucket. You can't look at 10, 20 , 100 years of data and draw a conclusion to a planet billion of years old. That's like asking yourself about how you feel for the next 3 seconds and basing your whole life around it. Man so wants to believe he controls his life and surroundings. He doesn't.
I encourage you to read the report in the OP, which uses 800,000 years of data (for reference, the human race has existed for about 500,000 years). It is true that man would rather believe than research, but maybe you can be an exception.

Even eight hundred thousand years really isn't a big time frame if you look at it respectively to the age of the earth. Also Co2 is good, without it there wouldn't even be life on earth. SO you should be GRATEFUL to it you ungrateful bastards.

So... the argument is that we need a millions years+ of data to prove global warming is man made, even if humanity can only survive the global warming pace for another 100-200 years?

Don't think I've ever said this on the forums... but I'm actually going to agree with Jarvan's earlier responses. But again point out that this is why we can't get to Jarvan's concerns, because everyone is so hung up on the first part to discuss the second part rationally.

No, what people are saying is that, all the other catastrophic events there were supposed to take place didn't. No one wants to believe anyone anymore when everyone has an agenda or their hand in the cookie jar. No one gives a shit about the earth they give a shit about whats good for them. And in 200 years I'm sure fossil fuels will be pretty much out of the loop.
And I'm pretty sure humanity is more of a threat to humanity than global climate change/warming/predictions whatever the hell you want to call it.

It does look awesome, but think of how long it would take to get dressed in the morning. Unbearable.

    Oh yeah, and there's this.
