Cliff Notes version: Humans are causing it, what are we going to do about it?

I didn't get that from this report at all.

This doesn't change anything. The Earth goes through natural cycles of cooling and warming...I see no evidence anywhere that mankind is hastening this or even affecting it. It's simply impossible to prove on the timeline we've been studying it, compared to the timeline of the Earth. We have, however, proven that the Earth was MUCH warmer than it is now at different times in it's past, with zero humans on the planet. So yeah, I'm still a skeptic.

I'm a skeptic because it's politicized science that has no real scientific basis. Satellites aren't recording heightened sea levels. Glaciers are melting, but it's like 2% of the 160,000 on the planet, Satellites haven't detected a rise in temperature at the atmospheric level which is pretty telling since you know (or maybe you don't) HEAT RISES, The latest idiotic notion is that the fumes from volcano eruptions are somehow cooling us down while at the same time pumping more methane and C02 into the air than all of humanity combined. Basically what you have is a shitload of people with Always Being Right cognitive disorder who feel that instead of being good stewards of the environment, we should legislate the world into a poverty laden socialist tribal lifestyle. If you believe in man-made global warming, you're a fucking moron. You believe climate models made by the same people that can't predict the weather ten days out and you're worried about 100 years from now. Fuckin' please. And go ahead, spout IPCC and the lastest GISS data from Nasa at me, before Global Warming was a ludicrous attempt at grabbing power and taxing us into oblivion, Temperature records showed the exact opposite was happening, they just amended their records to show everything from 1880 on, instead of 1840 on. And while you're trying vainly to defeat my argument, just remember, the environmental movement has killed more people than Hitler by about 6x.

The other day I was remembering the "big scare" of when I was growing up; the ozone layer was being destroyed! I grew up in California so of course this shit was everywhere; news was talking about it, homeless people begging for money on the street corner were talking about it, all of my teachers were talking about, shit it was even in the textbooks!

So I wondered why this scare suddenly just seemed to vanish one day. Seriously. One day we were going to destroy ourselves because the ozone layer was going to go bye bye the next day it's no big deal.

Turns out we "saved" the ozone form banning those aerosol thingies that were releasing those CFC thingies that were destroying the ozone thingie. And while reading up on it some "experts" were saying that by saving the ozone layer that actually helped contribute to global warming because the hole in the ozone layer was letting some heat escape our hot planet and since the hole is closing that heat is now being trapped and since the hole in the ozone layer was mostly over the glaciers it was actually helping to keep the glaciers cool but now that the hole has been plugged up the heat is accumulating over the glaciers and melting them faster.

In short...STOP TRYING TO FIX THINGS! YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE!

See? That's what I am talking about. I just spouted science at you. And yes, more people than Hitler. Up until the banning of DDT, which was the best known pesticide ever in the history of man, we had almost nearly wiped out Malaria completely. Once the greenies and dumbshits labeled it a carcinogen and the EPA got the US to refuse foreign aid to counties still using it, DDT stopped being used and since then, the resurgence of Malaria has killed anywhere from 30-50 Million People. AND...just to make this more fun...the banning of CFCs, once again, zero science to prove they were bad, just politicized fear and discontent, eliminated their use, which meant the majority of the 3rd world who used them as cheap refridgerants couldn't maintain their food supplies and 50K a year have died since from spoiled food poisoning. Look it up. Read.

Actually, I am aware of the malaria deal. Not sure how you make the leap that banning DDT was a move by the evil "greenies" or climate change folks, but whatever.

Ninjas did bring up a valid point; the environmentalists (ironically enough) have been stymying those efforts for decades now.

Nuclear power is just about the safest and cleanest technology we have available, well when you look at power produced.

But nooooo! There might be a nuclear meltdown! Nooo! Can't have that now! Instead we should blanket entire states in windmills to produce enough power for the US. Windmills don't cause problems, right?
