You are really good for a laugh. Most states still only have 2-3 companies at most offering plans through the exchanges. Also, most of the hospitals will generally accept one plan, 2 at most. So really, if you live in BumbleFuck Delaware, you may have 2 companies to choose from, but your local hospital you use will only accept Company B. So... Competition? Yeah right.

You do realize that someone can go to the Hospital without having to buy insurance. If I have 400k in the bank, and no health insurance, and I break a bone. I go to the hospital and I pay for my bill. Health Insurance /= healthcare. I am really surprised you don't know this.

Are you just making up shit now?

Sorry if that hurts your feelings but it's a legitimate question.

I don't know how many times I have said this... Obama should have attacked the chargemaster instead. He should have went for lowering healthcare cost. Instead he decided to play into the hands of big insurance.

The choice should be buy or not buy. Yes choices have consequences. Pay a higher premium with less coverage and higher deductible or opt out and pay a penalty. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Nice choice.

Socialized healthcare may make sense in many countries. Those countries are smaller than many of the States in the US and therefore easier to manage.

The United States is way too big for the central government to run everything efficiently.

One may say well. It works in Canada. The majority of the population of Canada is along the US Canadian border so the area really isn't that big.

Yup. Giving the industry a captive audience wasn't the correct move at all, instead look at reform and regulation so that profits and exclusions aren't so out of whack.

The life expectancy rate is lower but the ratio of what they spend per person versus their life expectancy is lower than ours. The one thing we are best at is high healthcare costs.

Not to mention all those other countries with "socialized" medicine who are kicking our ass.

    A) It's ludicrous to think if a country pays more for healthcare that it translates into a higher life expectancy.

    B) For the past 20 or so pages you've been making the argument that if everyone pays into the system that healthcare costs should come down because the costs should be "equalized" among everyone. In other words each person will (supposedly) pay less yet the actual cost overall remains the same.

So basically we're still going to be paying a fuckton of money in healthcare and still have "horrible" life expectancy rates. Glad to see you finally admit that Obamacare is useless.
