Like last year, Beacon Hall is traveling North to participate in the celebration of Winterfest! I wanted to post ahead of time to give people time to prepare for this event:
Help Beacon Hall Archive celebrate Winterfest by telling your favorite children's story on the 12th of Eorgaen at 8:30pm on Feastday. Take a break from the harsh cold and come inside to get warm in BHA's tent which will be located outside the southern most entrance of the Gaming Hall. To make the evening especially exciting, judges will choose the most outstanding entries, awarding prizes and choosing one lucky winner to be published by the Archive and they'll also receive their own hard copy of their book!
OOC note: Use the ACT and SMILE commands to bring your original children's story to life. How you present is up to you, just keep it in genre and IC--it is a children's book though so whimsy and fun are encouraged. Please try to keep presentations to 3-5 minutes.
Example:
Kayse smiles at the crowd as she removes a book with torn pages from her satchel and opens it to the first page where she loudly states the title, "Snuffy and Fluffy get Drunk."
(Kayse turns the page and holds up the book to the audience displaying a watercolor painting of a fluffy brown aardvark with donkey-like ears on a thin, elongated head and a one-eared rabbit with dappled grey fur and an absurdly pink nose--they appear to be sword fighting.)
Kayse recites fondly:
"Snuffy and Fluffy were an odd duo, but nothing could tear them apart.
But how these unlikely creatures became friends--was a funny start."
