Greater elemental flares
Hello, a lot of people have been asking about greater elemental flares. I just wanted to point a few things out and share some of the flares with everyone.
The greater elemental weapons at duskruin have two seperate flares. There is one that is a two damage cycle flare, and another that is a single damage cycle flare. They can each occur separately and at the same time.
This is an example of the two damage cycle flare:
** A nebulous dome of blue ether discharges from a gnarled ironwood runestaff capped with a sphere of ur-barath and engulfs a spotted and striped warcat! **
... 30 points of damage!
Elbow shatters under sudden decompression!
... 10 points of damage!
Veins in neck stand out briefly!
This is an example of the single damage cycle flare:
** Your runestaff flickers as the space around a muscular centaur champion folds inward and draws its surroundings closer! **
... 30 points of damage!
Spine cracks!
This is an example of them both occurring at the same time.
** A nebulous dome of blue ether discharges from a gnarled ironwood runestaff capped with a sphere of ur-barath and engulfs a grey-skinned hunter troll! **
... 25 points of damage!
Decompression causes muscles in leg to snap!
... 25 points of damage!
Veins in neck swell!
** Your runestaff flickers as the space around a grey-skinned hunter troll folds inward and draws its surroundings closer! **
... 30 points of damage!
Sternum snaps followed by many ribs!
My testing is far from scientific but the double cycle flare seems to be about a 10.2% rate, and the single cycle flare appears to be near 12.2%. This is only based on a total of 842 hits.
