You raise your glove-covered fists and assume a fighting stance.
You punch one glove-covered fist into your other open hand, and then rub your glove-covered hand over your fist.

You raise one foot, then the other, checking the soles of your leather boots for any rocks or debris.
You kick the sole of one of your leather boots with the toe of the other, trying to dislodge some debris or rocks from it.

You tug on your heavy suede gloves, adjusting the way they fit on your fingers. That ought to do it!

    4) a pair of multi-colored gloves of overlapping myklian scales - 5x with unbalance flares, these were a BSC quest prize, weigh under a pound, pocketed

You carefully inspect your myklian gloves.
After a careful inspection you determine that a pair of multi-colored gloves of overlapping myklian scales are suitable for use in unarmed combat.
You estimate that a pair of multi-colored gloves of overlapping myklian scales can store a very small amount with enough space for a couple of items.
You determine that you could wear the gloves on your hands. The gloves appear to serve some purpose.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of leather.

You analyze your myklian gloves and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "The item type should not change."
The creator has also provided the following information:
You get a strong sense that the gloves can be altered by any merchant, so long as the gloves remain(s) a glove or gloves with sharp scales.
Currently, you are able to CLENCH, PULL, LICK/KISS, PUNCH, and RAISE the gloves.
You can tell that the gloves is as light as it can get.

You open a pair of multi-colored gloves of overlapping myklian scales.
You close a pair of multi-colored gloves of overlapping myklian scales.
You clench the myklian gloves tightly, balling your fists as you do so. The sharp scales on the gloves form very sharp points over each and every single knuckle.
You pull the myklian gloves tighter onto your hands, wiggling each finger as you do so to make sure they are on as tight as possible. A slight grin comes over your face as you anticipate your next battle.
You make a fist and punch the palm of your other hand. Not a smart thing to do, considering how sharp the myklian gloves you are wearing are. You shake your now-numb hand tring to bring feeling back into it.
You make a fist with one of your myklian gloves and raise it into the air, issuing a challenge to the gods!
You lick the myklian gloves and cut yourself in the process. A few drops of blood run down the corner of your mouth and fall to the ground.

You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the golvern-toed boots for you.

You slide the golvern-buckled gloves over your hands, the supple leather gripping your palms. Slowly curling and uncurling your fingers, you test the feel of the leather until you arrive at an ideal fit.
You pull at the ends of your golvern-buckled gloves, tightening the fit as your fingers flex inside them.
You tap your clenched fists together, once, twice, then raise one hand in a beckoning motion, welcoming all comers.
You slowly rub your hands together then clap your hands once in anticipation.
Balling your hand into a tight fist, you raise it defiantly skyward as an ethereal net envelops your glove, and then quickly fades.
Tugging gently at the leather, you remove first your right glove then your left, taking the time to massage out any tightness in the palms of your hands.

You slide the golvern-toed boots over your feet, the supple leather gripping your soles. Slowly curling and uncurling your toes, you test the feel of the leather until you arrive at an ideal fit.

You bounce lightly on the balls of your feet and, eager in your anticipation, adopt an aggressive stance.
Pointing your foot, you draw an imaginary line along the floor with your toe, daring anyone to cross.
In a bid to draw attention to yourself, you loudly stomp your foot against the floor as an ethereal net envelops your boot, and then quickly fades.
You remove first your right boot then your left, taking the time to massage out any tightness in the soles of your feet.
