I haven't played a game in ages but I used to love Wolfenstein when it was like... 8 bit and 4 colors...

I heard it's got weird RPG elements in it, like if you're too low level your guns don't do as much damage to enemies. It's more like Borderlands 2 than the last Wolfenstein.

I'm enjoying it. It has good banter and all that. It does have skills and "levelling". Weapon customization and all that too.

If I attack a level 12 imp with a level 7 uncommon BFG while at level 9, how fucked am I?

You don't really level like that. You get new skills that allow you to do new things, and you upgrade your weapons to do more damage or be more accurate or hold more ammo or what have you.

That said, it takes minutes of concentrated fire to take down some things. You're honestly meant to stealth past them.
