Default A "Which Movie That Isn't Good or Bad Have You Seen Recently?" thread?

    Predestination.

Ethan Hawke movie. Saw it was about time travel. Most boring time travel movie ever, but it has a semi neat plot. Even though I sorta figured out the entire thing pretty quick.

It's already been established that I only read every other post or thereabouts.

So, I went and saw Independence Day and Resurgence in a double feature today, so the first was fresh on my mind when I saw the second...

Ever noticed in the first, China isn't attacked? WTF! Anyways...

Resurgence isn't a bad movie. It isn't a good movie either. It is watchable... they took the original and basically turned up the goofiness and one liners to 11. The original had some fairly serious moments, whereas the new one tries to have a few... But they are immediately interrupted by the multiude of comic relief characters that exist in the show. Seriously, every other character is comic relief. The first movie had a sense of mystery about it too, in this one... You pretty much know what is going to happen. It does go into the backstory of the aliens though, so I guess if you care about the lore of the ID world, you'll enjoy that.

Anyways, it is worth a watch. I saw it in 3d, but it didn't seem to be a really necessary thing. There aren't a lot of things that pop out of you that would really require 3d, so it'll be just as enjoyable in other mediums.

I saw the weird science guy from the first one is in it again. Will Smiff? The "up yours" guy? Well, I guess he's dead.
