Thread: Bill Cosby's legacy going down the crapper

Default Bill Cosby's legacy going down the crapper

I'm kind of amazed how fast all of this is happening with Bill Cosby. It's almost like overnight people are trying to pretend he never existed; they are canceling interviews with him, they are canceling his comedy shows, Nick at Nite even stopped airing reruns of The Cosby Show.

Allegations of rape is obviously very serious but not a single allegation has even made it to the courts, much less has Cosby admitted to anything.

Just off the top of my head I can think of cases that received much more spotlight or actually did reach the courts and little to nothing came about it:

Kobe Bryant...he's even Latrin's love interest now
    Bill Clinton
Roman Polanski...heck he was even FOUND GUILTY!!!

Yet the above people are very much revered by a lot of people and they even have famous defenders that basically tried to make the victims look like pieces of shit. Why is Cosby different?

It's because he is an educated black man that doesn't look to the government for a handout and tells other black people to not be lazy douchebags and stop making kids they don't care for like it's a national sport. Thus, he doesn't fit with the media's ideal image of a black leader and must be trashed.

Obviously he just needs to hurry up an die. Michael Jackson touches little boys, had ridiculous plastic surgery performed on himself and eventually ODed and we're still making holograms of his dumb ass.

Surely you don't mean this speech he presented at the NAACP:

They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: Why you ain't, Where you is, What he drive, Where he stay, Where he work, Who you be... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2? Where were you when he was 12? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol? And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something? Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up? Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?

What part of Africa did this come from? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa. With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back. People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' — or men or whatever you call them now. We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us. We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.

We cannot blame the white people any longer.

Michael Jackson! Another great example. How many times was he brought to court? I know of at least one time.

I will need to look for the full text of Bill Cosby's speech to the NAACP. Maybe I'll frame a copy of it and put it on a wall.

As for the allegations against him, the instant someone has some proof of any of these incidents (an individual saying it happened is NOT proof), let me know.

    Pretty much this, *in fact*.

    http://www.aol.com/article/2014/10/2...osby/20981710/

A stand-up comedian called Bill Cosby a rapist last week and insisted there is plenty of proof -- he might be right.
Hannibal Buress insisted during a Thursday appearance at the Trocadero, in Philadelphia, that Cosby's real-life antics betray his "public Teflon image." The "Cosby Show" star was previously accused of sexually assaulting more than a dozen women.
"Bill Cosby has the f******g smuggest old black man public persona that I hate," said Buress. "He gets on TV, 'Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the 80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom.'
"Yeah, but you rape women, Bill Cosby, so turn the crazy down a couple notches," an infuriated Buress ranted. "'I don't curse onstage.' Well, yeah, you're rapist, so I'll take you saying lots of motherf*****s on Bill Cosby: Himself, if you weren't a rapist."
The 77-year-old Cosby is from Philadelphia. Buress, also an African-American, knew what he was doing by ranting in the actor/comedian's hometown.
"I don't know what I'm doing by telling you, I guess I want to just at least make it weird for you to watch Cosby Show reruns," Buress continued. "Dude's image, for the most part, it's f*****g public Teflon image.
Hannibal Buress probably has fathered children whom he denies is his.

    Oh, I noticed this...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hannibal_Buress

Buress was a writer on Saturday Night Live from 2009–2010.[9] He left having had only one of his sketches aired.[10] In September 2010, he began writing for the fifth season of the NBC comedy series 30 Rock.[11] He quit after six months.[10]
    During his 'rant' he said:
"Bill Cosby has the f******g smuggest old black man public persona that I hate," said Buress. "He gets on TV, 'Pull your pants up black people, I was on TV in the 80s. I can talk down to you because I had a successful sitcom.'
Someone 'has an axe to grind' apparently...

Reminds me of Charles Barkley reference to the black population having a 'crab mentality'.

It's 'crab bucket'. Free range crabs exhibit different behaviors, although they're still pretty crabby.
Hasta pronto, porque la vida no termina aqui...
America, stop pushing. I know what I'm doing.

Oh Latrin, what would we ever do without your insightful contributions?
