    Default mid-high level hunting strategies

    Hi All,

I'm currently loving life leveling my pure halfling bolter. I was curious as to how the majority of elder wizards choose to hunt? Will my happy-go-lucky hobbit have to revert to warding as he ages? I would very much like to keep hurling concentrated bolts of elemental kick-ass if its mechanically possible.

I'd be interested in any input from a level 50 or above (lofty goal for me to reach that status...but hey who knows)

You should have no problem remaining a bolter. Get enhancives they help, you can do just fine without them in most places but when you max them out and have +70 to your bolt AS, it is just funny. Taverkin is a halfling with max enhancives and his bolt AS at cap is around 550 and it is always fun to go hunting with him.

    Now that's a gun. Warhammer 40k.

I have a 371 AS with my bolts and I am lvl 59. Not bad for a sylvan wizard set for growth.

Honestly Tremors is a great spell. Better than Ewave to use. They will go stance offensive, swing, then get tremored to the ground. That lets you haste/swing or bolt or Cone of Lightening them dead. If htey get up, no problem because Tremors is still shaking the ground for several pulses. I use this tactic in the Skull Temple. If someone is turtled still, then use Eblast on them or even Estrike to get the stun so they cant cast on you.

My bolter did well in the Gossamer Valley in Illistim, 908 made that area extremely easy.. easy as melting slush. I don't think you'll have much problem staying a bolter from that level forward if you so choose.
