Is that not how it is now? I've talked to many that bot 4+ characters and it's common to have at least 2. I never advocated for allowing unrestricted boting, especially from bot armies, but why target a level sorc that showed clear activity 20 minutes beforehand instead of the actual bot armies or the paypal industry that runs the game?

As someone who plays 11 accounts I can say the GMs do target me from time to time.

Do you think that there are not script armies running afk right now using watchdog or another catch script to bypass and alert the afk player of changes? Is he less evil for the game somehow? To answer earlier comments, no my script did not hang and I was in the sanctuary in RR, probbaly the quietest corner of the game. There were 2 other players there that were unresponsive for who knows how long (at least several hours). If I was reported by them it was for being in their "spot" and nothing else.

There were 2 other players there but they were unresponsive for a long time before I went afk for a bit. I explore a lot and frequent places like RR and Solhaven and Teras, I would say at least 50% of the people I meet are completely unresponsive, but it didn't hurt my feelings, I just moved on and assumed that was normal. Go to the sanctuary in RR, plaza in Solhaven, any table or fog beetles in Teras if you don't believe me. I was hunting crocodiles and resting in the room. I realize there are rules, but there are also different levels of enforcement. I was not grinding out level 35 in 30 days or afk for 20 hours so it was a bit of a surprise. I'm hardly what you would call an evil no-gooder that should be attacked by staff even if I skirt rules a bit. I'm not really upset about anything, but there is no reason to play here if I don't enjoy it, and I was playing in the fashion that I enjoy without hurting anyone. I'm happy it happened when he was only 11 to be honest.

But yeah, I can see why they'd tend poke at you more than some. It's gotta look suspicious when you're a script writing god and 98% of anything you type into game is automated.
