I texted a friend the same thing. The whole sand snakes story is ridiculous, horribly acted and is just embarrassing. Jaime and Bronn in Dorne feels like a new buddy cop movie.
Who in their right mind uses a whip? Terrible DF.

We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men. Edward R. Murrow

Ramsay married a girl who was being passed off as Arya in the book. The scene is more or less similar except Theon is forced by Ramsay to take a more (ahem) active role.
I think the show is trying to make Ramsay into another Joffrey, but I'm not really feeling it just yet. Cersei though, that will be satisfying.

This season has been fairly disappointing so far, and I'm pretty sure it's from the distinct lack of Hodor. I was sad when I read that the storyline arc with Bran/Hodor/Rickon would not be heard from until Season 6.
This season seems to be lacking in any kind of, for lack of a better word, grandness. Every episode seems small and petty somehow.
