Thread: no map database for narost and go2

  1. #11

    Default

    >;updater update forcemap
--- Lich: updater is already running (use ;force [scriptname] if desired).

does this mean it is downloading the maps?

  2. Default

That won't work. What you want is ;repository download-mapdb.

    Okay....

    Here's the response for that

    >;repository download-mapdb
--- Lich: repository is already running (use ;force [scriptname] if desired).

Okay, so I killed the repository and tried it again:

    Using download-mapdb I got this:

    >;k repository
    --- Lich: repository has exited.
    >;repository download-mapdb
    --- Lich: repository active.

    Usage:

;repository list [alpha] lists all scripts available for download (optionally in alphabetial order)
;repository sync [alpha] lists only new and/or updated scripts
;repository info <script name> shows the comments at the top of the script
;repository download <script name> downloads the script
;repository upload <script name> uploads the script
;repository delete <script name> deletes the script from the server

Scripts should include comments at the top describing the purpose of the script. Scripts without comments at the top will not show up on the server.

After uploading a script, a key that allows you to delete/update the script will be saved to C:/Users/Mark/Documents/New folder (2)/lich/keys

    --- Lich: repository has exited.

When I used the same thing without the hyphen (-):

    --- Lich: repository active.
    [repository: connecting to the server...]
[repository: error: could not find that script on the server]
    --- Lich: repository has exited.

    Um.. Now what?

  5. Default

    try ;u updater

  6. Default

Various things are going on here, but the root of it is likely an Avast firewall.

I do have Avast. How to I rectify this?

  8. Default

I don't use Avast, so I can't give you step by step instructions, but you need to set exceptions in the Avast firewall for ports 7153, 7155, and 7157, or set an exception for rubyw.exe.

Or you could turn off the firewall, but then... no firewall.

Is this not a wrong repository version issue? In which case...

Do this twice to get the new repo script:
    ;repository download repository

Then look at ;repository help and see download mapdb.

  10. Default

It is, but that should sort itself out once updater stops hanging from the firewall issue.
