I'm confused as to where the problem is so I added some echos to the script to help narrow down the problem. If this happens again please provide another log.

Will do, I'll try out the new one. Was just coming to tell you that from some more testing on the previous (non-echo) version, it seems to be working fine on regular rolls and tingles, it's just the ones that give a read that are causing it to move on.

Ok, new version, had a box in progress already disarmed but I was trying to get it with a pick manually. The script moved on correctly for the first 2 picks, Lock Roll at 75:

    [tpick: Putty remaining: 48]

Well that took longer to figure out than I expected.

Apparently the problem was the line is supposed to be:

    Code:
You are not able to pick the strongbox, but you get a sense that it has a fairly complicated lock. About a -765 difficulty lock (in thief-lingo).
But in the script I had it as:

    Code:
You are not able to pick the strongbox, but you get a sense that it has a fairly complicated lock. About a -765 difficulty lock (in thief-lingo).
Do you all see the problem? It's so obvious!!!!

In any event I'm pretty sure this is fixed now. The first time you get a read on the lock the script should grab the lockpick it thinks is best for the job, every time after that when you get a read on the lock it will go by your Lock Roll setting when deciding to move on to the next lockpick.

Ah, yeah, that's a sneaky one. I just tried the new version and it seems to be working perfectly, I had a few reads with the right pick and it kept on trucking. Thanks for your time and help, Tgo.

One other thing I just remembered and wanted to mention about tpick: I noticed that if you have vials loose in your locksmith pouch, but not bundled, it doesn't recognize them and moves on to wedging. Bundled vials are okay, but a pouch only holds 10 bundled vials, and will hold 20-30 loose vials, so it might be helpful to look for the loose ones too.

For reference, this is my pouch with all 3 types of vials loose:

Peering into the locksmith's pouch, you see a lump of squishy white putty with about 48 pinches left, 95 little balls of cotton, a set of narrow metal grips, a thin metal file, a thick steel needle, 10 vials of liquid and:
lm tool (1): a set of professional calipers.
lm trap (16): a clear glass vial of light yellow acid (9), a thick glass vial filled with murky red liquid (3), a green-tinted vial filled with thick acrid smoke (4).

edit: And related to this, I just ran into this with a plated box (there are 9 bundled vials and all the loose ones I posted in said pouch):

    [tpick]>disarm #284247070
You carefully begin to examine Person's box for traps...

There appears to be a plate over the lock, sealing it and preventing any access to the tumblers.

It looks like a very complex trap (about -318).

You still have a good enough picture of the trap in your mind, that you could try to disarm it.

That sounds like a bug within the game itself when it comes to plated boxes, bundled vials, and using the locksmith pool because when you disarm a plated box with bundled vials in your locksmith's pouch it should automatically use a bundled vial.

I can look into updating the script to use loose vials as well.
