On Tuesday, April 9, at around noon Central, we'll be opening the SimuCoin store for GemStone.

We will have a variety of items on sale for opening day and more will be added as time goes on. When you purchase your SimuCoins and buy an item, just use the SIMUCOIN command in-game for information on how to take delivery of your loot. You can redeem website-purchased items on any character on your account in GemStone Prime or Platinum (Shattered coming soon). Currently there aren't any items in the store that are of limited quantities, so there's no worry about missing out on anything. Down the road, we may run special deals or have a set number of certain items available, but we'll give lots of notice before that happens (and we'll do it later in the day).

This idea makes sense for free to play games, but it's bad economics in a game where you've already got your customers paying 40 bucks a month. They need to stop trying to squeeze blood out of this turnip, and go find some new turnips instead.
