That basically has a repository of all the best mods created for every Total War game. Go to the Hosted Modifications section for the particular game. As for Shogun 2, I like the Rights of Man 3 - Road to Kyoto. It covers the base game and both expansions.

Another great one is the Sekigahara Campaign. It is basically an expansion in it's own right. A different time period completely and multiple different factions and units.

I usually go to total war heaven. Also a pretty good site.

    I don't until I've played the original 50,000 hours.

TW series is great with it's mods and support of them.

It is one of the developers periodically answering questions about the game. Some pretty exciting stuff being talked about there.

I hope they're not attempting to reach their goal of "700 unique units" by including asinine units such as 'war dogs' and 'screaming woad females' and the like, which the RTR mod wisely got rid of.

Why are war-dogs an asinine unit?

Because it is totally plausible to organize multiple units of 15 'war-dogs' in an army and move them about in a flanking attack on the battle-map.
