Has anyone else played the demo? It's pretty amazing, although still buggy.
Ken Rolston is executive designer, Todd McFarlane worked on the artwork, and the game universe and lore was written by R.A. Salvatore.
I'm really considering on getting the demo. I do want to get the game just due to what I've read about it so far and that Salvatore did the lore.
i was just flying through the demo it to get the ME 3 items, seemed a lot like fable to me. i guess i expected more of mcfarlane's art to shine out but i dont remember anything impressing me.
Downloaded the demo because of this thread.
Played for a minute. I do like the art direction. Best part are the swords.
Combat action is cool. I like the real time swing/combo/block aspect of it.
While the story, world, and everything look unique I am a little tired of the whole Middle Earth thing.
The combat is what I liked the most. Running in with dual daggers, dash-rolling off to the side and coming up firing a longbow is badass. I'd originally only downloaded the demo for the Mass Effect items but I'll be buying it tomorrow. I'll be able to let you know more how it is in a few days.
I will be playing for the ME3 items. If I like it I may pick it up.

I bought KoA yesterday from gamestop, for the 360.
The Demo was cool, the game is nice indeed. I'm already sporting the DLC finesse pack, but outgrew the daggers already since I bought some at the Inn for a good amount, which are pretty bad ass from what I gather.
I haven't invested in anything much but all Novice Stealth now, and 3 blocks of Detect hidden. Detect hidden is for sure, a must have for any stealth type character I think. So definitely should get that.
I got it for the computer. It seems like WoW with better graphics and single player, as far as look. I do enjoy the combat system though.
Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam
lol.. I swear.. I think WoW needs to be removed from the collective memory of every human on the planet.
Only thing I see in common with WoW is that there are graphics, you fight, and use weapons and spells.
graphics maybe be somewhat similar, but thats where it ends really.
Bought it myself from origin, played it some. Didn't get any bonus content.. but you always outgrow that stuff so fast it isnt funny.
I'd say it was WoW-like due to the cartooniness. (New word!)
