    Default Tax Season

Alright, it's that time of the year again.

Lets all bitch/celebrate about the tax season, and why.

I haven't done my taxes yet, but my argument still stands:

They need to allow child support to be tax deductable if you pay it.

And it sucks to be single after being married, far less money from taxes

Also, a $72 W2 from Georgia, so now I need to file a GA state return too. Fuck.

Nah because child support is not taxed to the recipient... as it should be imo.

They should make everything I spend to support my child tax deductible.

So tax it. It may make some women be less greedy when they realize they're gonna get bumped into the next tax bracket.

Did a mock turbotax thing, and I will owe $72 to the feds estimated.

They'll be more greedy. Higher tax rate = more pre-tax dollars for the same after-tax benefit.
Razzle them. Dazzle them. Razzle dazzle them.

Why should this be? Does a married couple get to deduct the money they spent on food and clothes for their children?

So you want the money to get taxed when you earn it, and then have them take more out when you give it to your ex wife?

No, but they get a deduction for having a child. The recipient of child support gets free money and still gets the tax deduction, fucking the supporter.

I thought this type of thing was determined during the divorce or during when child support is being determined. Still it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that only one person gets to take this deduction, there should be a special case made for these situations where each person gets half of a standard child deduction.

They're already taxing it when I make it.

So yes, I want them to tax it when she receives income from me.

This. They get the money and child tax credit.

They determine who has more custody, usually the person with physical custody gets the 51%, and then gets to claim on taxes.
