Apparently I have a project due tomorrow that I completely forgot about. It's to make an instrument and play an octave + song on it. The point is for the difference in pitch/frequency to be noticeable. I'm thinking of making a xylophone out of a bunch of cardboard boxes and soda cans.

Before I fail miserably, will this work?

Why not do the old glasses filled with different amount of water thingie.

They do that on TV like semi regularly, no?

Or are those like Waterford Crystal or some other such horribly expensive sort of glassware?
