Watching the first episode now. Should go well with the book I'm currently reading, Eichmann in Jerusalem.
The Dig finale tonight, you ready Latrino? I sure do hope detective Golan is ok.
Three quarters of one episode behind. New job. No time for non-LeBron TV or subjects in sentences. A little concerned that it's already going to be over, seems like they have too many hats in the air. Will advise in a week or so when caught up.
Hasta pronto, porque la vida no termina aqui...
America, stop pushing. I know what I'm doing.
Hatist.
"Discovery" is the parent for like 50 channels now. It's kinda weird. While they most certainly have a lot of programming geared towards wanton "sweeps"-style ratings mongering, there are still quite a few gems in the rough. The Science Channel, for example, is owned by Discovery, and they have some really good shit. Mythbusters is probably the most "mainstream" of their programming, and still a damn fine show usually, imo...although I question their methods and conclusions sometimes.
To me it's a lot like the History Channel (apparently co-owned by Disney...hrmm..)...sure, during Prime Time you're going to get some pseudo-history, sortof historyish-related programming designed to get ratings...if you want old skool History Channel you have to watch it during the day time after the infomercials go off.
Penny Dreadful
Sad to see The Following is over. I've enjoyed it quite a bit and Kevin Bacon has been amazing.
