Thread: new (different) computer, cant install

  1. Default new (different) computer, cant install

    different computer, no prior psinet on it, cant get it to install, not technical, looking for help

    InstallUtilLib.dll Unknown Error

    that pops up when it's about 98% installed. got the SGE installed, works.
    windows 7 i think (heh). thanks

    There are some other threads here but curiously are you running the MSI file as an admin? You can't just right click and do it. You either need to do a registry change or you can run it through opening command prompt as an admin.

    hrmm, i've right clicked many options/buttons, dont see anything allowing me to be an "admin"...bit beyond my 'puter skills. not that i need hand holding, but, i need hand holding, can't see anything to allow me this option. registry change is foreign to me, nee some guidance, and thanks.

  5. Default not running vista

    running xp, not vista. nothing in help section mentions admin items. even reinstalled the entire computer (had just got it anyhow) i need my spellup auto, waaaah
