Thread: Choices.

    Default Choices.

With the fixskills coming soon, I've decided I want to explore a new avenue for my Rogue. I want to drop sword/board and either go with Voln Fu or Archery, but not both. This character is a utility who absolutely must 3x in pick/disarm/perception, and must be capable of improving that.

XXXXXXXX (at level 45), your current skill bonuses and ranks (including all modifiers) are:
    Skill Name | Current Current
    | Bonus Ranks
    Armor Use..........................| 140 40
    Shield Use.........................| 138 39
    Combat Maneuvers...................| 153 53
    Edged Weapons......................| 176 76
    Ambush.............................| 153 53
    Physical Fitness...................| 132 36
    Dodging............................| 149 49
    Harness Power......................| 25 5
    Disarming Traps....................| 241 141
    Picking Locks......................| 241 141
    Stalking and Hiding................| 214 114
    Perception.........................| 238 138
    Climbing...........................| 120 30
    Swimming...........................| 120 30
    Pickpocketing......................| 187 87

    Spell Lists
    Minor Elemental....................| 4

Here's what I've got so far. I've been migrating from no picking whatsoever to what I want/need.

Any positive input would be appreciated.

I'm a fan of brawling. And with unarmed combat still on the drawing table, it could be fun. Fist-scythe and a hook knife a nice combo, so are dual sais.

I like the archery because its a great excuse to be 3x in perception which in turn aids in your picking. That and being able to shoot arrows from hiding without being revealed is really cool to see from a 3rd person perspective. Also, the ability to have a 10x flaring weapon just by having a 5x bow and master ebladed arrows (or a 6x bow and ebladed arrows) is relatively cheap.

Silent strike? Anyone know about it, how good it is?

Silent strike is useless as an archer/hurler, as a sword-n-board rogue or any other melee form, its only real use is if you for some reason want to try and kill things in swarms and don't want to be caught out.

I just use a culling method in swarms to get one isolated in a different area. I rarely take on swarms by myself.
