Official: Unscheduled Deity Conversion Quests

For a bit of historical perspective, the deity conversion system was designed specifically for the cleric profession because alignment was going to be added as a feature to how cleric spells function. So it's purpose is primarily a profession specific one, and not really a general roleplaying tool for the masses. But since it was being implemented, there was no real reason to not make it available to anyone in the game of any profession who had a character primarily devoted to a specific deity to enhance their roleplaying.

Because the system at heart is a mechanical system for the cleric profession, the ability of clerics to convert willy nilly to take advantage of hunting situations is a huge concern. It's meant to bolster the importance and roleplay of which deity a cleric decides to serve because that is central to the profession.

There was an intention since the start to eventually add some sort of mini-quest type system that will allow a person to change their service from one deity to another. But that will take quite a bit of design and coding resources, so it has to make it to the top of the list of priorities at some point in order to get done.
