Whew! Republicans are getting wrecked in town halls right now. Speaker Mike Johnson actually told GOP congresspeople NOT to hold them right now. Can you imagine that? The top Republican of the House telling his members not to listen to their constituents? I know people like to call us a Republic but these are democratically elected officials who should answer to the people. WTAF? This is totally authoritarian.

And you don't have to hold town halls in order to speak and listen to your constituents. Town hall settings allow for the professional malcontents to abuse the system and cause disruption. That type of setting would be the last thing I would use.. given the history of the Democratic Party and the use of professional agitators.
