Chucky caved. Of course, his speech is so full of shit that the whites of his eyes are brown.

I asked for neither your Opinion,
    your Acceptance
    nor your Permission.

My favorite part of all this is how some Democrats believe that AOC should primary Chuck in 2028... without knowing that it's because of AOC and her progressive caucus is the main reason why the Democrats are out of power.

I honestly hope that AOC does primary Schumer and wins. I want nothing more than the Progressive caucus to expand and get more and more powerful in the Democrat Party.

We need time to fix this country.. and that would certainly help keep Republicans in power for longer.

I think its because Schumer actually cares about the American people. A shutdown right now in the midst of all the layoffs and dismantling of the executive branch agencies would really really really pile a ton more shit on top of the mountain of shit this show has become. People are already hurting. I'll bet everyone on this board is either feeling it themselves or knows someone who is. Uncertainty about everything is the top of the list of people's conversations right now. As much as I would like to stop this administration in its tracks unfortunately a shut down would hurt people more than it would have beneficial political effect.

    lol

Then why was he even entertaining the thought of shutting down the federal government? If keeping the federal government opens shows you "care about the American people" then from the very beginning he would have said he was voting yes on the budget and never claimed he might vote no.

Why are you so fucking dishonest all the time?

The vote is supposed to be this afternoon... I can't wait to watch the parade of Democrats caving. Republicans only need 7 total Democrats to change their votes from no to yes. They have Schumer and Fetterman. I'm guessing Gillibrand will also cave since she had a screaming fit yesterday in the closed door meeting.

They will only have 7 that cross lines... and I've named 3... so we only need 4 more. Here are my guesses:

    1) Mark Kelly - Arizona went for Trump but Kelly doesn't have to worry about re-election for a while since he just won.. but he has positioned himself as a moderate.
    2) Jon Ossoff - Georgia went for Trump and he DOES have to worry about re-election next year. He's not a moderate but will probably be forced to vote yes to help save his own seat.
    3) Jacky Rosen - Nevada went for Trump and Rosen won her seat by a very close margin. She's a moderate and much of Trump's policies play well with her base.
    4) Tammy Baldwin - Wisconsin went for Trump and Baldwin is up for re-election in 2028. Normally very liberal, but she may have to cross party lines to be able to tell her constituents that she's a moderate and has voted with Trump in the past.

People are hurting after 4 years of the Jill Biden presidency.

Don't fret though.... Trump is here to be the hero you need.

You left out the part about the current hack and slash of the government that is affecting 1000s of real people with real families. Shutting down the government means stopping paying federal employees and contractors which slows the economy. Our economy is a slow moving train wreck right now if you have not noticed.

Why do you miss important details to misconstrue and misunderstand everything so often?

You blame Trump for slashing jobs.. why not blame the Biden Administration for hiring 1.116 MILLION people for government jobs during his administration?

Are you saying that we needed to add 1.116 million more jobs in our government when we were running 2 trillion dollar deficits every year and a 37 trillion dollar debt?
