Walz just came across saying MN is a good place to have their kids at because childcare is good. Good does not mean affordable.

Childcare is outrageous in the metro area. You're looking at, easily, $500 a week for a newborn. That's $26k a year for a newborn. 10 years ago it was around $380 a week for a newborn.
Just think if you have a couple of young kids you could be dropping $30-40k a year just for daycare in the metro area. Holy fuck.

Walz is way fucking off on it being easy to pay for daycare in his own state. I can't speak for other states or other areas of MN, but the metro area is fucking horrendously expensive. A shitty little $5-6K child tax rebate won't make much of a dent.

People are avoiding having more than one kid because of the cost of this. I know a lot of people that outright had one parent stop working because having multiple kids, the cost of daycare bleed them dry. It was better to lose a job and scrape by with a single income and struggle that way over stressfully have two parents working to not get any further ahead.

Daycare is fucking expensive and Walz is a fucking retard.

We didn't hear how the cost of childcare is going to be brought down by a 20% tariff on all goods coming into the United States as Trump insisted. Curious how making goods more expensive for Americans to purchase will reduce their childcare expense. Unless of course he meant by making childcare unaffordable, women will be forced to stay home.. which is a pretty common Republican position.

ACA was the worst type of legislation one could dream of if you want to deliver national healthcare. It literally extorted people to purchase private insurance.
