Thread: a veniom-hilted white ora katana with a shimmering crystal edge

  1. Default a veniom-hilted white ora katana with a shimmering crystal edge and others

you feel a faint resonating vibration from the white ora katana in your hand, and you learn something about it...

It imparts a bonus of +30 more than usual.
    It is a holy item.
It has been infused with the power of a flaming substance.
    It is an enhancive item:
It provides a boost of 5 to Multi Opponent Combat Bonus.
It seems to have a lot of enhancive charges remaining.
It will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.
It appears to weigh about 3 pounds.
It is estimated to be worth about 34,450,000 silvers.
It is not weighted to inflict more critical wounds than a normal katana.
It is predominantly crafted of white ora.
This white ora katana provides additional defensive benefits when employed against all undead creatures that can be affected by it. (parry mod 5% )
It may be enchanted up to a bonus of 30 by a wizard and was last enchanted by Tissan.
It is a complicated project (392 difficulty) for an adventurer to modify.

    show
Artistic scrollwork along the blade depicts an endless battlefield extending into the horizon beyond. An undead horde clashes with paladins and knights in a vast wasteland, a banner of The Order of Voln carried high by their herald. Near the katana's silvery veniom hilt, a ring of black iron guards the wielder from harm, its form twisted into a limbless serpent devouring its tail. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

You can RAISE the bracer to hit more than one creature at once.
If you get tired of the bracer's random pulsing light, PROD it.

    +5% to parry

    what he said.

5% undead only is pretty niche for 100m

  5. Default

He didn't mention the Ronan alter. Totally worth it.

Otherwise it's price about 95m too high.

95 mil too high? I think not. But agree to disagree. And while +5 % to parry is what hebrew said. I'll confirm it and run some logs. But since he owns the only other version of the katana. Then im going to assume he's correct. I mean you are free to post whatever you want. Im not going to censor people's comments but I would ask that your comments dont attempt to derail my auction. Fact of the matter is there are only 2 of these in existence. As in the one from last year and this year. And im under the impression that they are going to do some nerfs to the duck pond for next year and that they are devaluing the items because too many people complained and want to throw their wallets at things to buy good prizes and felt it unfair that people could get them from luck. Far be it from me to remind everyone of the ability to pull box found items and legendary items. But whatever. Think what you will. The price stands. Bid or don't bid.

Not going to comment on the pricing – the market dictates that – but there is currently no way to get +Parry% bane added to a weapon outside of some Mania/Auction win. And, considering that parry has the lowest frequency out of the three EBP procs, boosting it by 5% is a significant benefit. Your mileage may vary, of course.

It helps to offset the parry penalty that katanas have naturally. Against undead at least.

Not to mention combining it with stance of the mongoose on a high EBP character that also has stance perfection set for Parry means you can probably get a lot of mileage out of this weapon. Combine it with a wakizashi (short sword) and TWC for some great times?

I cannot believe – well, yes I can... – that this stupid penalty hasn't been removed from katanas and katars yet. For fucks sake, you're already paying for two weapon skills to use the damn thing.
