You could ask them to do it in note form to verify that they at least have that amount of silvers to sell. Have them withdraw the silvers in note form, SHOW you the note and then transfer money and they hand you the note.
Just be sure to look at the person you're dealing with, they should only have one note in their hands and if they were to put it away or try to pull out a second one you can call them out on their shenanigans.
Say that you wanted to buy 10mil. You meet up and the seller SHOWs you the note:
Then you transfer the money, they confirm they received it and they hand you the note.Code:Xxxxx shows you a Vornavis promissory note, which he is holding in his right hand. It has a value of 10000000 silver.
Also, any buyer without access to FWI won't be at a disadvantage either. The seller can easily transfer silvers to another town and withdraw a note at the town's local bank (IMT, Valor, Landing, etc) - they just go to the necessary town, pop into FWI, withdraw silvers, pop back to the town you're doing business in, deposit the silvers and then withdraw a note. Then seller can show the buyer the value of the note, the buyer confirms it's correct, they send money via whatever method and the seller hands the note over.
To my knowledge there is no withdrawal fee to take out a note, instead of silvers, so this method seems like a no brainer. They just hand over a note for the amount without you needing to hope they have that many silvers in the bank. Granted, you're still at the mercy of them actually handing the note over after payment is made, but at least you will know that they do have that amount of silvers you're buying from them without sending money in blind faith.
There's always some risk, but at least with this method you can confirm they have the silvers they claim to have for sale before you transfer any money.
I don't use Lich. If you want to do business with me, contact me via PM, IG, or on AIM. Or maybe use smoke signals. Don't like it, get off of my lawn.

So this thread inspired me to turn one of my characters into a sort of reputation bot type thingie.
You can send an ESP message to my character Teburu to see some stats about that person.
For example do: think to Teburu stats Dreaven and get the following:
[Focused]-ESP: Teburu thinks, "Dreaven: Level: 100."
[Focused]-ESP: Teburu thinks, "Dreaven: Discord Verified: Yes, Number of Discord posts: More than 1000, First Discord post: More than 1 year ago."
Or do: think to Teburu stats Uliehn and get the following:
[Focused]-ESP: Teburu thinks, "Uliehn: Level: Unknown, Discord Verified: No."
[Focused]-ESP: Teburu thinks, "A public accusation has been made about this character. Link here: http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?136047-Fraud-Alert-Uliehn."
So far that's pretty much all the script does because the Discord verification and public accusations will be added manually to avoid anyone abusing the system.
Discord verification means the person has verified their character via the in game method and can see/post to all Discord channels, someone will have to send me a message from their Discord name with the name of their character to be added to the list.
Obviously Discord verification and how long they have been posting won't necessarily mean the person is trustworthy, nor will not being verified necessarily mean the person is untrustworthy, but it's just something that might help people make some decisions. Script won't share Discord names with people in case someone doesn't want everyone to have their Discord name, so it just gives vague information such as more than 100 posts, first post was more than 1 month ago, etc etc.
Use it, don't use it, don't matter none to me. If there is no interest I'll simply stop running this script on my character.
