Usually, our courts do their job, which mean the country is not authoritarian (albeit our government are moving towarsd that direction) but the Police do stupid shit. That said, if we are comparing the amount of times Police officers are caught on video trying to arrest someone they shouldnt be, I think the Merkins have us beat.
