I have yet to see anything by anyone to suggest that the bloke's arrest was anything but ridiculous. Even Hants Police's Commissioner has said it was stupid. I dont often agree with Tories, but I will agree with her there.

That said, if we are comparing the amount of times Police officers are caught on video trying to arrest someone they shouldnt be, I think the Merkins have us beat. I mean you routinely kill people with your police...brown people, obvs, so a video of British police being fuckwits is all well and good, but you might want to get your own house in order first.

As for your comment... I don't know your background, but my typical response when someone makes a comment like this is... you're only able to "wish" for something "farther left", because you live in a location that isn't fully there yet.

The theories of the "left" sound fantastic. There is only one problem - the human condition. You "wish" they went further, only because you have not been repressed (which will always occur if left unchecked), by those that sell you the idea of fantastic theories, that only leads to misery.

People knock the US nowadays, sure that's the trend... what the US did was advance the world forward exponentially... because of one theory, which seems to have been forgotten... You, yourself should be in charge of your choices to earn and live as you wish... without the Government involving itself in everything that you do.

There is a reason the US shot forward - because it tried to set the framework for individuals to excel and succeed on their own merits vs. what a government gave them.

Fast forward 200+ years.. and humans are going to human.. and we have allowed corrupt people to distort, and overreach that concept.

You'll get what you want eventually.. something "further left".. and as human history has shown us - what you are asking for is the status quo of human history - it's people controlled by the government.. a "caste system" that all must adhere to.. and all will suffer, as has always been the case with such ideologies.
