I've been on vacation so I haven't been able to join in.

One thing I wanted to point out as someone else did: This is not a PvE game, it's a role-playing game.

It isn't a PvP game either, however, the PvE systems of the game are VASTLY more worked out than the PvP side. Infact, the GMs have stated MANY times in the past they do not balance based on player vs player.

We just need to convince the usual suspects on Discord that a GM watching your character for a few minutes under the guise of an "afk script check" is a violation of privacy and consent and then they'll announce a SET NOAFKSCRIPTCHECKS flag. If any of the GMs bitch about be sure to tell them the idea is a big "FUCK YOU" to all racist and sexist trolls so of course all of the racist and sexist trolls come around to complain about the suggestion.

Actually now that I type this I can actually see this plan working.

So, there is a mode that goes through ever character in the game and watches them for like a minute or so (think a CCTV monitor that loops through cameras). It isn't supposed to hit tables or latched rooms, but sometimes it did. Let's just say sometimes I saw some things I really didn't want to see.

Also, there is a curse filter, any word that triggers it and the entire sentence is blasted to any GM. So you say fuck, all the GMs in game see it and you'll get soaped, etc. This also isn't supposed to work out of tables or latched rooms, but SOMETIMES it would slip through and we'd get an entire cyber action blasted to everyone. It was hilarious.

Ultimately, it's upsetting that Dev GMs, whos department is mechanics, get to make a change that has such a profound impact on roleplaying. I don't think the decision for this flag should be up to them, and I really hope there is some oversight on this.

It seems these days GMs have free rein to do whatever they want.
