I used it for years and went away from it but I went back. It's a very good skill to use on casting critters that don't stun very easily or have high DS. Once you grab them you effectively stop them from doing anything and most casters have low hp's so you generally smoosh them and gain an add AS. If you use it following a tackle or bullrush it is devastating. You might want to add bullrush to your skills: It's one of the best cman crowd control skills.

Coup has been tweaked so that it is way harder to get a 20AS bonus.

I found coup in plate gets me 200 endrolls which is +20 ish AS and in brig gets me 300 endrolls which is +30 to 40 AS.
Always have to ambush leg (or shield bash), then arm, then coup. Then forget about coup for a minute. I only use it about 3 times per hunt and it keeps me going pretty well.

But yeah, plate really hinders so much now that I'm going back to brig. I've had enough of the negatives from wearing plate.

That's only if you're not already using Seanette's Shout. If you're using that, you need an endroll north of 200 to get anything at all, and I can't really see a reason why you wouldn't be using Seanette's Shout. With the change away from vocal stress it's a nearly free +20AS with a pretty small stamina cost.
