On the Final Test
New cases rolling average has increased for eight straight days. Here are the times that has happened in the past year:
June 15th, peaking at 65,000 cases on July 20th.
September 17th, peaking at 165,000 daily cases on November 22nd.
December 11th, peaking at 230,000 daily cases on January 9th.
This happens about every three months because that's about how long we're willing to put up with restrictions before lifting them, regardless of the state of the pandemic.
Israel is three months ahead of us in vaccinations and they're still seeing the equivalent of 20,000 new cases a day.
And so we come to our final test.

We can finally stand together and drive this evil back, once and for all.
We won't be forced to do anything, now even less than before.
We don't need to march to the gates of Hell, to slay a dragon.
Simple acts.
Wear our masks.
Wash our hands.
Stay apart.
Tell our politicians to do the same.
We are not alone.
