6 CER is right before crit randomization takes effect, so anything above that you start to get diminishing returns on your costs.

Pretty sure crit randomization is only for padding though right? I don’t believe it applies to weighting.

Crit weighting is not randomized, what was described above was crit padding. Can be easily confirmed using a claid

Confusingly, damage weighting is randomized, but not crit weighting.

So:
- damage padding, crit padding, damage weighting - all randomized over somewhat
- crit weighting - not randomized at any amount

Also, as it relates to WPS for this lance, or really any weapon -

Since crit weighting is not randomized, I would think the natural stopping points should be either 5 CER, 10 CER, 15 CER etc. These represent the points at which it takes an incremental 10 services to reach the next CER.

I think you are overthinking it... don't stop crit weighting good weapons, add a little every time.

A lance could be a possible exception. Due to the really high DF, its possible you hit so hard you reach max 9 ranks on every hit you do on everyone. If that happens, more crit weighting is not helping anymore. But since critters have so much crit padding, it seems doubtful you should ever stop...
