Thread: Don't you feel stupid for believing Biden now?

Default Don't you feel stupid for believing Biden now?

    Poor Backlash...

Dems have the House, the Senate and the White House... so this is the time where they can get shit done! This is the time where they can FINALLY get their agenda passed through the legislative process!

Well... say goodbye to the Federally mandated $15 minimum wage. The Democrats have decided to drop it from their "Covid Relief" Bill (a bill that spends a whopping $.10 for every dollar on actual Covid relief and $.90 on whatever else they want to) and just pass the rest of it. Survey says: PROMISE BROKEN.

And in before anyone chimes in to say the Republicans blocked it... they can't. Only need a majority and the Democrats have it. They had no real intention to pass $15/min.. they just told really stupid people that so they would get their vote.

    So much for back's raise.

I'm sure it's somehow Trumps fault, though.

The Senate is pretty tight on it. They absolutely have to talk with Republicans on it, because 1 democrat Senator said he doesn't favor payments at all. That puts it 51-50 even if Harris throws in a vote. I imagine they'll return to address the minimum wage point on an actual budget bill, but it was the Parliamentarian that removed it from the bill.

She is a non-elected official that has been in office since 2012. The VP can overrule the Parliamentarian, but it is rare. Democrat senators are calling on her to do exactly that today and re-add the minimum wage part.

Appointed in 2012 by Dirty Harry Reid himself. They had to put that in the "Covid Relief" bill to appease the Socialists in the Party... but they had very little faith it would be passed as is.

And I haven't heard about the 1 Democrat that will not be voting for it because of the payments. Who's that? I heard Manchin wouldn't vote yes with the min wage.

    He's using his white privilege.

    Or his toxic masculinity.

Not sure which page they are on currently.

    Toxic masculine white privelege.

I have seen a number of articles lately blaming all the bad things on white women, though.

So, pretty, if you're white, you're evil.

Yeah, Manchin said no. He doesn't like the idea of direct payments either.

That is why it is really iffy on if Harris will overrule the Parliamentarian to have the min wage part put back in. Better to have something pass than nothing at all.

$21,000 dollars for federal employees, nothing if you make over $80,000 and work in the private sector.

    Bidens America.

A veteran nurse gets nothing, Joe Bidens fluffer gets $21,000.
