I had that happen one day, ages ago. Smacked the piss out of him while he was in RT with a Claid. Head crit killed him and when I saw him again he decided to be a little smarmy weenie so I used Garrote on him in town.

I really don't want to cause trouble.....but I don't think I should ever be punished for not have a disk because people want to script and I want to experience the game a different way.
Ambushers without disks have kills taken by people who didn’t know they were there. It’s a fact of life you’ll just have to accept if you choose to refuse to use a disk.
As for PvP, 99% of PvP in GS comes down to who attacks first. The system itself is shit for any type of skill based PvP.
Nobody is punishing you. Gems are light enough they don't weigh you down unless you have them in bulk. Did you catch the persons name by the way? I'm tempted to hang out in lower levels areas and kill shit just for the little asshole to take a swing at me.
A half-elven thief leaps out of his hiding place!
A half-elven thief swings a falchion at you!
AS: +482 vs DS: +457 with AvD: +36 + d100 roll: +95 = +156
... and hits for 43 points of damage!
Solid strike caves your skull in, resulting in instant death!
Your heart hammers suddenly in your chest before failing entirely. Even the influence of Troll's Blood is not enough to change the fact of your death.
The dim aura fades from around you.
The bright luminescence fades from around you.
The powerful look leaves you.
You become solid again.
The shimmering multicolored sphere fades from around you.
The layer of raw elemental energy surrounding you dissipates.
The layer of protection fades away.
The deep blue glow leaves you.
You feel the extra courage wane.
You feel less confident than before.
The light blue glow leaves you.
The silvery luminescence fades from around you.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around you.
Abruptly, everything you see and hear comes into better focus. Your personal temporal reality has rejoined the true flow of time.
The tingling sensation and sense of security leaves you.
The glowing specks of energy surrounding you suddenly shoot off in all directions, then quickly fade away.
You feel your extra magical awareness leave you.
You no longer bristle with energy.
You feel your extra strength departing.
It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...
You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.
...departing in 10 mins...
A half-elven thief leaps out of his hiding place!
A half-elven thief laughs in victory!
He roots through your pockets and takes some silver coins. With an evil grin, he pulls out a belt pouch and stashes away his ill-gotten gain.
